Today you will find picturesque mountain landscapes that enchant with their calmness and tranquility! We will see the old cobbled streets winding through the city. We will learn the story of bloody invasions and the real story of couple in love who once lived in Teruel. By the will of fate, lovers met together only after death... It was on this plot that Shakespeare wrote his story about Romeo and Juliet.

In the first part of the route there will be a walk around Teruel, a city with a centuries-old history. It is located high above sea level (915 m) and is part of the community of Aragon. This city is a museum of Mudéjar architecture, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its streets still keep the spirit of those centuries, bewitching with their mystery and originality. You will have the opportunity to visit the Mausoleum with the tombs of the Lovers of Teruel.

In the middle of the route, you will have lunch at a local restaurant with a tasting of local dishes, because Teruel is also rightfully considered the birthplace of Iberian Jamon.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!

To completely dissolve in the past and feel yourself in the Middle Ages, you will visit another unusual place - Albarracin. This is exactly the place about which they say that "time seems to have stopped here!". Mountain rock from which the city was built has a pink tint, and it gives an extra special atmosphere. The town is hidden among the mountains, in which it seemed to be "grown". You will walk along the narrow cobbled streets, see houses with the coats of arms of the medieval elite, and the oldest house is from the 13th century. From the history of these places, goosebumps sometimes run. Almost every building has its own history and legend, which will be told by the guide.

And of course, gastronomy different from the coast of Valencia will tempt you to try Aragonese jamon, cheeses, sausages from local wild boar and venison with wine.

The nature and climate in Utiel Reken differ from the nature of the Mediterranean coast. These places produce excellent red dry wines, DO Utiel-Requena, as well as Spanish cava champagne. The local gastronomy also has its own style and flavor, different from the gastronomy of the coast.

Fine sausages are produced here - embutidos, jamon, honey and olive oil, local cheeses made from goat or sheep milk are also very good.

The tour will begin with a visit to the city of Requena, the capital of the wine-growing province of Utiel-Requena. Here you can appreciate the real life of a small provincial and non-tourist town in the Spanish hinterland. You will see the main square of Requena with its cozy restaurants and visit a huge cave located right under the central square of the city. There you will see where and how in former times the inhabitants of the city stored wine.

After walking along the central streets and squares of Requena, we will go to a nearby winery. The winery is located in a picturesque place next to the lake and has its own vineyards. You will visit the vineyards and visit the old house where the owners of the winery lived for a long time (wineries are usually a family business that is passed down from generation to generation). After that, we will be shown how the winery works and will be told about all the intricacies of traditional methods for the production of wine and champagne. The tour will end with a tasting of various varieties of wine, we will also be offered for tasting Manchego cheese and a variety of embutidos (traditional sausages from Utiel Requena).

Santa Baraba Castle, built by the Moors, rises above the bay at a height of 166 meters. From here you have stunning views of the city, the port and the surrounding mountains.

Then you will visit the oldest and most picturesque quarter of the city - Bario Santa Cruz, walk around the center of Alicante and see the church of Santa Maria, the building of the City Hall, you will go to the Cathedral of St. Nicholas.

In the central market, surrounded by smells and tastes, you will learn about the local cuisine, typical Spanish delicacies and the famous Alicante wine Fondillon. Those who wish will be able to taste this wine and local sweets – Turron.

You will walk along the famous boulevard of the city - the Esplanade. Paved with tricolor marble tiles in the form of waves, a wide alley with four rows of palm trees and numerous flowers. The Esplanade is a favorite place for walking both locals and tourists.

You can get acquainted with local wines, learn about the history of winemaking in the region and brands of local wines by visiting the Bocopa winery, a cooperative that has brought together more than 600 winemakers from the province.
